In Between One and Another, Jan Smejkal presents a new series of minimalist paintings that explore the silent relationships between color, space, and perception. Expansive fields of tone float across the canvas in quiet dialogue, forming a visual language of nearness, distance, and resonance. These works continue Smejkal’s poetic investigation into the subtleties of communication—what is spoken, what is withheld, and what exists in the space in between.
