Lukáš Machalický

Lukáš Machalický (*1984, Prague) is a conceptual artist influenced by architecture. His working method is very complex and laid on the thought-out dramaturgy of an exhibition as a medium. His work relates to specific times, places, situations, and contexts. To his precisely executed site-specific installations the artist randomly intervenes to create a polemic between perfection and imperfections. Together with Robert Šalanda (*1976), Machalický heads the Painting I studio at the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague and runs Galerie SPZ.
