Petr Nikl
Petr Nikl (1960) is an interdisciplinary artist who moves on the border between fine arts, music, and theater. He is a founding member of the legendary art group Tvdrohlaví (1987 – 2001) and the author of nonsense poetry and children’s literature. The common denominator of his works is playfulness, tenderness, suspicion of existence, and occasional exaggeration. He presented his work in 2000 at an extremely successful exhibition in the Rudolfinum called Gallery Nests of Games. Another large exhibition was organized by the City Gallery in Prague in 2014 under the title Game of Time. Petr Nikl is a laureate of the Chalupecký Prize and the Magnesia Litera Prize. He likes to sing and dance.
